A new virtual queue is DEBUTING at Magic Kingdom.
We’ve known for a while now that Tiana’s Bayou Adventure would feature a virtual queue, but it feels different now that it’s FINALLY HERE. If you’re planning on riding this new Magic Kingdom attraction soon (!!!), we’ve got you covered on how the virtual queue works and what you need to know before riding.
Officially opening to the public on June 28th, 2024, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure underwent plenty of previews and we got a first look at the virtual queue the ride will use, at least for the time being.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will offer a virtual queue via the My Disney Experience app with chances to join at 7:00AM and 1:00PM.
Before you join the virtual queue, there is some fine print you should be aware of. The first is the most obvious: Joining the virtual queue does not guarantee the ability to ride. There is a chance that you may not be assigned a boarding queue or your boarding queue may not be called for unforeseen circumstances.
Valid admission is required (select admission types may also require a theme park reservation) to join the 7:00AM queue. However, to join the queue at 1:00PM, guests must be inside Magic Kingdom in order to access the queue. Additionally, guests can only hold one attraction virtual queue at a time, but once you redeem one queue you are eligible to join another, if available.
Additionally, the ride IS eligible for Genie+/Lightning Lane Multi Pass/Lightning Lane Single Pass, but will NOT feature Individual Lightning Lanes for sale. Those will likely sell out in seconds once reservations opens up for the day at 7:00AM for hotel guests, so be vigilant if you go that route!
As always, if you do plan on joining Tiana’s virtual queue, keep in mind that the ride is still new, in demand, and has a tendency to break down at times. In fact, she’s struggled quite a bit during previews!
So give yourself some flexibility just in case the attraction breaks down, and PLEASE don’t take out your frustrations on the ride’s Cast Members, who are obviously doing the best they can. Also, be sure to show up when your boarding group is called as late arrivals might not be accommodated.
