As we were saying, we’ve all experienced it. You’re at Disney World (living your best life) snapping pics with Mickey, and conquering Space Mountain (basically adulting like a champ), but then, disaster strikes. You reach for your phone to capture another magical moment, only to be greeted by the “lovely” low-battery warning and your charger is basically a million miles away. What do you do?

The first thing to do is breathe. The good news is that Disney World actually has your back. Scattered throughout the parks are charging havens where you can snag an outlet and revive your phone.

We’re talking about spots like World Celebration Gardens in EPCOT or Storybook Circus Tent in Magic Kingdom.

But Here’s the Catch

While you can use the outlets, Disney doesn’t exactly hand out phone chargers like free Mickey Mouse ears. So, the number 1 rule here is to pack your own.

What To Do When You’ve Forgotten Everything

Okay, so maybe you forgot both the charger and the portable charger. Don’t worry. It happens to the best of us. Disney World already has a solution for you — meet FuelRods!

These are basically little battery packs that you can get all over the parks. They’re lifesavers in a pinch, but they can be pricey (around $30 for one).

Here’s the secret to saving some money on these — buy your FuelRods on Amazon before your trip! Not only will they likely be cheaper (they tend to go for $30 for two!), but you can still swap them out at any of the FuelRod kiosks around Disney World for a fully charged one (completely FREE!).
