How Did One of Magic Kingdom’s Most HATED Restaurants Get the PRETTIEST New Snack?!

Trust us, you’re not going to go hungry if you’re searching for delicious snacks in Disney World.

Each of the parks and resorts has its own variety of specialty treats on top of the common, more iconic Disney snacks. And if you’re heading to Magic Kingdom, you’ll likely encounter some of Disney’s most famous eats! But even with a long list of popular snacks to choose from, the park is often adding new options, and this week we spotted a new one at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe.

Since June of 2023, Cosmic Ray’s has offered a Stitch Mousse Cake as one of its dessert options. We were surprised it stuck around so long since it had been introduced for 6/26, the Stitch holiday. However, it has now been replaced! Say hello to the Passion Fruit-Mandarin Tart.

A new treat on Mobile Order!

I Mobile Ordered the new dessert, which is $5.79 , and topped with whipped cream and a white chocolate piece. And let me tell you, it turned out SO pretty!

It looks like a mini galaxy!

The tart is made of a few layers. First, there’s the shell, which was surprisingly soft for a Disney World theme park tart (usually those shells are kind of crunchy). Inside the shell was a mousse that was light and fluffy, and had a mild mandarin flavor. Topping it off was a passion fruit curd that was gelatinous in texture, and quite tart.

On top of all that, there was multicolored whipped cream to hold the white chocolate decor in place. My one complaint here is that you could definitely taste the food coloring in the white chocolate.

I would recommend this for anyone who loves citrus desserts or doesn’t mind their treats on the tart and tangy side. If you prefer sugary sweet snacks, then this might not be the one for you. Either way, it’s absolutely stunning in person and I was impressed with the quality from a place like Cosmic Ray’s!

This probably won’t be my number-one go-to snack in Magic Kingdom in the future, but it would be a great option to add to your meal if you’re planning on dining at Cosmic Ray’s.
