June 28th is a BIG day in Disney World, specifically Magic Kingdom because Tiana’s Bayou Adventure finally opens to the public!
This exciting new attraction takes place about a year after the end of The Princess and The Frog film, and Tiana is preparing a Mardi Gras party to celebrate and thank the whole town for their support of her restaurant, Tiana’s Foods. But when she finds that the final ingredient is missing, she enlists the help of the guests riding the attraction to help her find it. But before the ride opens on the 28th, there’s one big change that NEEDS to happen.
The Play Disney Parks app is a fantastic way to pass some time while you’re in long lines for Disney World attractions. In fact, some rides have specific interactive elements in the queue that bring the ride to life before you even step onboard!
However, we noticed this the other day while looking at the app — it still says to play it in line for Splash Mountain, which doesn’t exist anymore!
Not only can you participate in Disney Park Trivia from anywhere, but you can also play:
- Andy’s Boardgame Blast! (up to 5 players; tied to Slinky Dog Dash)
- Off to Never Land (up to 5 players; tied to Peter Pan’s Flight)
- Rocket Race (up to 5 players; tied to Space Mountain)
- Jungle Cruise Trivia (1 player; tied to Jungle Cruise)
- SO much more!
Seriously, we think there’s something for everyone on the Play Disney Parks app for everyone, and there’s almost always something new to explore. And if we see new trivia, or a new game introduced for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, it may give us more of an insight into the storyline of the ride, or some behind the scenes facts!
Previously you could play A Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah-Day in the app, which was tied to Splash Mountain, so there’s definitely room for a new Tiana’s Bayou Adventure game. We can’t wait to see what Disney comes up with!
And if you won’t be visiting the parks for a while, playing these games at home with your family is a great way to bring some Disney magic into your every day life. We’ll be sure to keep you updated on all the latest Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and Play Disney Parks news, so stay tuned to DFB!
