Disney Parks released a full ride-through video of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Magic Kingdom this morning, and we may be freaking out a bit over here! We have already dived into the FULL list of songs that you can hear on the ride, and we have already noticed that something is missing from this ride.
This attraction is officially opening in Magic Kingdom on June 28th, 2024, but you can get a full look at the ride before its grand opening. We want to take a close look at some details you can spot in the finale scene of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, so let’s check them out!
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure takes place where The Princess and the Frog left off. In the ride, Tiana decides to throw a Mardi Gras celebration to thank her community for the support as she grows her restaurant. However, there appears to have been a mix-up and Tiana is missing a band for the celebration. We all know how important music is, so we go on a journey to find the “missing ingredient” for the Mardi Gras celebration — musical critters. We travel through the bayou to find this last ingredient, and once we find it, it is time to enjoy the celebration! The finale scene happens after we experience the 5-story drop and we make our way to the successful Mardi Gras celebration!
When you first enter the room, you will see lots of familiar characters including Charlotte La Bouff and Eudora. As well, you will spot Tiana (in her new dress), Prince Naveen, and Louis on the stage. We can also see members of the community dancing along on the right side and behind Tiana. In addition to familiar characters from The Princess and the Frog, we are also seeing all of our critter friends in this finale scene.
There is lots of New Orleans charm throughout, and we can see Tiana in a beautiful dress in the center of it all. Louis and Prince Naveen are right beside her, dancing along to the musical critter’s performance. You can even spot Prince Ralphie jammin’ out on the drums! We have to mention the tiny frogs too; Felipe, Mayra, Mondo, and Isabel are sitting on the edge playing the drums. Aren’t they just so adorable?
We have already been introduced to many of the critters, and it is so fun spotting them all in this finale scene. You can see Gritty sitting at the bottom of the stairs and Byhalia sitting right behind the frogs. You can also see Sebastián the Louisiana Black Bear, Octavia the Bobcat, and so many more. Almost everywhere you look, you will see some more members of the critter band!
Plus, Tiana’s dress looks gorgeous, and we can’t help but dance along to the all-new song written by PJ Morton and sung by Anika Noni Rose. This song is called “Special Spice” and is a great way to end Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. (You can stream the new song on all platforms now!)
There are lots and lots of beautiful flowers and decorations throughout the scene, and we can’t wait to spot even more details in person. Of course, the ride wouldn’t be complete without some beignets, and Mama Odie and Juju are here to deliver! As you are departing the finale scene you will float by Mama Odie saying “I see you Juju” as you pass by a plate of beignets.
Finally, Mama Odie leaves you with some parting words exclaiming, “This party wouldn’t be what it is without you!” It is great to revisit some beloved characters, while also getting to hang out with some new ones! Don’t forget this attraction opens in Magic Kingdom on June 28th, 2024. To be able to ride you will need to either get a virtual queue or purchase a Genie+ selection for the ride.
And if you’re ready to ride, don’t forget to grab our commemorative t-shirt for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.
