You Don't Want To Hear This Mickey Mouse News, But You Need To

Meeting Mickey Mouse is an iconic part of any Disney World trip.

And it’s an experience worth waiting for, which is why there’s often a line to meet him in Magic Kingdom! We’ve been using a “secret” way to skip lines to meet Mickey Mouse in Disney World…but now it’s allllll about to change. 😭 Let’s get into it!

Did you know you can meet Mickey Mouse in all four Disney World parks? The park with the shortest wait to meet Mickey has consistently been EPCOT. You can find him (and Minnie!) in a tucked away spot at the Disney and Pixar Short Film Festival.

Wait. You don’t know where that is? Well, you’re not alone. This theater is part of EPCOT’s Imagination Pavilion. And because of this out-of-the-way location, there just aren’t enough people who head over here most days to form a long line for Mickey and Minnie.

And that’s why we’ve often given you the advice to meet Mickey in EPCOT, rather than the other parks. Until now.

On June 10th, the NEW Communicore Hall and Plaza opens in World Celebration — smack dab in the middle of EPCOT. This new area is going to be EPCOT’s “festival center” with an outdoor stage, a food booth, a demonstration kitchen, mixology bar, gallery space and more.

And part of that “more” is a NEW meet-and-greet space for Mickey and Friends.

So Mickey and Minnie and presumably some other friends are moving to the CENTER of EPCOT. No more tucked-away meet and greet that most people don’t seem to know exists. Nope. They’re gonna be right there where everyone can see.

And you just know this is going to be a popular spot and have lines. So, our secret way of skipping the line to meet Mickey will disappear. So here’s our next best suggestion … meet Mickey and Minnie in Adventurer’s Outpost in Animal Kingdom. This is another location where you can meet this dynamic duo together!

You will usually find a shorter line here than at Hollywood Studios or Magic Kingdom, so this may be the park where you schedule a Mickey meet-and-greet into your day!
