Dreamworks Land looks SO COOL and we can’t wait for it to open soon!

Shrek and Donkey meet and greet
Universal recently teased us with a preview of what awaits us when Dreamworks Land’s construction walls finally come down and we’re able to experience new rides, new shows, and hug our friends once again in a new place. But that’s not all you’ll be able to do here… hey, we’ve gotta eat, right?
We recently had the opportunity to tour the highly anticipated Dreamworks Land at Universal Studios in Orlando. This revamped land has been a work in progress for quite some time switching out rides, attractions, and even characters that may be more recognizable to tiny tots, and we had a blast (even as adults)!

Shrek’s Cottage
With all the meet and greets, playgrounds to explore, and interactive play you’ll find throughout the land, it’s easy to reason that you could work up quite the appetite after spending some time here. Luckily, Universal also gave us a first look at a new snack debuting in this land (and it left us speechless)!
Say hello to the latest character to grace a pretzel, Shrek…

Shrekzel!
… and his accompanying swamp cheese! Yes, that’s green cheese in case you couldn’t tell.

Swamp cheese
Ok, before we let your imagination about the cheese get too far away from you here, let’s refocus on the Shrekzel (yes, that’s its OFFICIAL name). It’s fun, doughy, and actually rather spongey yet lightly salted! It’s impressive how much of Shrek’s expression on his face Universal captured with such a design, but in true Shrek fashion, this thing is HUGE!

It’s BIG
To our surprise, it pulled apart very easily and we had a lot of fun pulling off his ears to dip into the swamp cheese! We think this pretzel will be a hit with your kids, so you probably won’t have much trouble getting them to eat it (your challenge will be stopping them from playing with their food instead).
So how was the swamp cheese? Well… we’re not gonna lie, it’s not totally the most appetizing at first glance. However, it is very goopy and leaves a long cheesy trail when you dip your pretzel pieces into it. But, in full transparency, it’s truly just melted cheddar-flavored cheese that’s dyed green.

Swamp Snacks
Both the Shrekzel and the sidekick of swamp cheese will be available as a duo for $12.29 when Dreamworks Land opens, and you can pick up your own set to try out at Swamp Snacks along with several other Shrek-themed eats and treats!

Dreamworks Land is set to open to the public FINALLY on June 14th, so we don’t have too much longer to wait!
