REMINDER: Fantasmic! FINALLY Returns to Disneyland in ONE WEEK!

Disneyland’s ORIGINAL nighttime spectacular is ALMOST back.

Did we mention there was LOTS of fire before?

Fantasmic! – the journey into Mickey Mouse’s mind that takes place on the Rivers of America each night – has been a staple at Disneyland since the show opened in 1992. Or it was until April of 2023, when the massive Maleficent dragon animatronic that served as the show’s climax caught fire. While no one was hurt, the fire did significant damage to the show’s infrastructure, and the show hasn’t run at Disneyland since. Now, that’s about to change.

Fantasmic! is FINALLY returning to Disneyland on May 24th, and it’s bringing some new elements with it.

The show will feature “refreshed moments” during its live performances, as well as a new battle scene between Sorcerer Mickey and Maleficent, which will feature updated special effects, and the return of the Peter Pan scene that had been replaced by Pirates of the Caribbean in the 2010s. The show will still feature sequences based on popular Disney films, including Sleeping Beauty, Aladdin, and Tangled.

Along with Fantasmic!’s return comes the return of Fantasmic! dining packages, with offerings including reservations for a multi-course dining experience at the Blue Bayou in addition to reserved seating for a viewing of Fantasmic!
