One Downtown Disney Store May Be Closed for MONTHS

If you’ve been going to the Disney parks for a while, you know that refurbishments happen frequently!

It’s not uncommon to have a few rides closed for short periods while they get technical updates or to see a building covered in construction walls while the paint gets touched up. It’s how they keep things fresh and new! But now, we’ve got an update about a closed store…and it might not be good news if you’re a big fan.

Wonderground Gallery in Downtown Disney at Disneyland Resort has been closed for a few days now. This shop sells a variety of souvenirs, including artwork, pins, housewares, and more.

However, if you’re waiting with bated breath for the shop to reopen, you’ll be waiting a WHILE. The Wonderground Gallery page on the Disneyland website was updated to say the following: “WonderGround Gallery will be closing March 11th for refurbishments that are expected to be completed next winter. Please check back in the fall for updated information.”

Yep, that means this store will likely be closed for many months! Looks like we’ll have to do our Disney shopping elsewhere in the meantime. This closure is part of several changes currently in progress in Downtown Disney — we’ve seen new common areas and new restaurants pop up recently as well, and there’s more on the way in the future!
