Are you ready to ride Disney’s NEWEST attraction?!
Tokyo DisneySea is having a BIG year with the introduction of its new Fantasy Springs expansion which will feature three lands, including the new Peter Pan’s Never Land! If you’ve been as hyped as us about the new Tokyo Disney additions, we have good news — THE WAIT IS OVER! We are inside Fantasy Springs, and we just rode the star attraction of Peter Pan’s Never Land!
We were invited for an early look at Fantasy Springs, and we’re here bringing you ALL the new rides, new food and MORE live this week (and yes, that does mean some of the DFB Team is working through the night to deal with the time difference!). We just rode Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure, a 3D dark ride that takes passengers on a flying boat ride as you rescue John from Captain Hook and the pirates of Never Land!
It’s a 3D ride, so of course you’ve got to pick up some glasses on your way in.
We walked through the Lost Kids camp in the ride queue.
There are perfect little details through Never Land, like this map.
This ride is entirely screens and scenery — there are no animatronics. But don’t worry about that because we were blown away by the tech here! The ride designers told us they used special UV paint techniques to seamlessly blend the screens and the sets, and it worked!
We have NEVER seen screens look so natural — it was hard to tell what was screens and what was a painted set. You CANNOT see the edges of screens. This is SO IMMERSIVE!!
Oh sorry, was I shouting?! This was so exciting — I WANT TO LIVE HERE!
The ride vehicles here are huge boats that you board to cruise through the water, but then Tinker Bell arrives and sprinkles some of that pixie dust, and you guessed it — we were flying! When Tinker Bell sprinkled our boat with pixie dust, there were projections that covered the entire boat and the people riding with you.
This is a trackless ride, reminiscent of Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure in EPCOT in some ways. We noticed one Easter egg — when the Lost Kids spill some treasure, Genie’s lamp floats out at you. We truly, truly were amazed by this ride and the way the screens and movement of the ride vehicle synced up.
Now, let’s talk about motion sickness for a minute. If you are prone to it, you *might* have trouble on this ride. One of our DFB team members who rode is prone to it, and she did not feel sick. But just a warning that you may have a different experience.
Besides Peter Pan’s Never Land, Fantasy Springs has Rapunzel’s Forest and Frozen Kingdom! The whole port is scheduled to be open to the public on June 6th, 2024!
We’ll be bringing you SO MANY MORE Fantasy Springs updates, so be sure to stay tuned right here at the Disney Food Blog!

We do this because it’s important to us as journalists to ensure not only that we give you unbiased opinions, but also that you can trust us to do so since we’re paying our own way. On rare occasions, when we are invited by a company to attend a preview as media, and when we choose to accept that invitation, we will always make you, our readers, aware of that situation. Today, we were invited by Tokyo Disney Resort to attend their media preview of Fantasy Springs. Note that when we attend events as media we are 1) Not required to review that event/food on any of our channels, and 2) Not required to review that event/food favorably. You can always count on DFB to give you a 100% unbiased and honest review of any event that we attend, food that we eat, or beverage that we drink. You can see more in our Disclosure Policy.
