3 NEW Additions Confirmed for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party in Disney World

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a huge celebration that takes place each fall in Magic Kingdom, and Disney finally confirmed it would be returning this year!

It’s really not so scary!

This year’s party runs from August 9th through October 31st and will bring exclusive eats, merchandise, entertainment, characters, and more to Magic Kingdom. Disney shared a bit more details about what we can expect from this year’s event — so let’s dive right into what you need to know!

We can’t wait for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party this year! Disney announced that the Magic Kingdom party will take place on select nights from August 9th through October 31st. Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a seasonal Magic Kingdom event requiring a separate ticket for entry, but we look forward to it every year.

This year, Disney announced that Mickey and Minnie will be all dressed up in NEW costumes during the party! In the past, we’ve seen Mickey rock all kinds of spooky costumes (this vampire look is an old favorite of ours), so we can’t wait to see what they’re going to wear this year. Here’s a first look!

Additionally, Disney confirmed that a NEW DescenDANCE Party is coming to Magic Kingdom! The dance party is inspired by the upcoming Disney+ movie Descendants: The Rise of Red, and you can watch the trailer below in preparation.

Now for the news that we’re MOST excited to share. Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is known for hosting all kinds of rare character meet-and-greets. In the past, we’ve been able to meet Elvis Stitch, Jack and Sally, and even the Seven Dwarfs! But this year, TWO new characters are joining the party!

Over in the Fantasy Garden, you will be able to meet Mirabel and Bruno! The My Disney Experience app notes that Mirabel typically meets people during the day at Fairytale Garden (near the Cheshire Cafe), so we have a feeling Bruno will join her at this location during the party.
