Did you know you could get all kinds of SUPER unique souvenirs in Magic Kingdom?
Sure, you can head straight into the Emporium like everyone else does and grab the same shirts, pins, ears, and accessories that everyone else is buying. Now, don’t get us wrong, we love seeing the latest Loungefly bags, designer ears, and other popular souvenirs. However, our favorite Magic Kingdom souvenir comes from a shop that you’re probably just walking by without ever realizing it’s there.
If you know, you know, and you’ve probably already anticipated where we’re going with this. But yes, we’re going to tell you about the Silhouette Portrait Studio AGAIN. So many people just walk right past its two locations without even knowing it’s there. You’ll find one studio on Center Street, just off Main Street, U.S.A., and another in Liberty Square.
So, what exactly do you get here? Well, you’ll find silhouette artists here who can cut YOUR silhouette freehand with just a pair of scissors. Can you get a more unique souvenir than that? You can even get silhouette portraits made of your friends, family, and even your pets (bring a photo if said person isn’t with you for the silhouette). Seriously, what these people do is REAL ART.
For something so unique, we also love that the price is very reasonable: prices start at just $14 for an individual silhouette. You can also purchase oval frames for your silhouette, too. So, next time you’re in Magic Kingdom, don’t sleep on this souvenir!
Now, we do have some honorable mentions because we feel there are a few other unique souvenirs in Magic Kingdom that you could be missing out on. First up, did you know you could get Personalized Ornaments made at Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe in Liberty Square? You could even make it a tradition to get a new personalized ornament for every Disney trip!
Speaking of personalized gifts, we have to mention the Personalized Celebration Buttons, too. Now, you can get a free Celebration button for whatever it is you’re celebrating, but so many folks don’t know that for a few extra dollars, you can get super fancy writing on your button. You can get these done at Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe, too.
Another keepsake that so many people are sleeping on is the Parasols you can buy in Liberty Square. First, the designs on these are works of art. But you can also customize them with specific designs. They also come in VERY handy because they can help shield you from the harsh Florida sun. They’re useful AND unique!
Okay, so maybe there’s a good reason most folks just walk by this souvenir because it’s one of the priciest things you can buy in Disney World. Yep, the Crystal Cinderella Castle at Crystal Arts will set you back $250,000…a quarter of a million dollars. So you can just do what we do — stare longingly at it for hours. You know that meme about “If I win the lottery, I won’t tell anyone, but there will be signs?” Our sign will be that castle, sitting on a table in our living room.
Our final honorable mention is a collection of crystal skulls that we think maybe Indiana Jones doesn’t even know about. If you visit La Princesa de Cristal near Pirates of the Caribbean, you can get a Wish Keepers Skull. This is sort of like the Crystal Wish Keeper Wands you can get in Disney Springs but with skulls instead for those of us who like things a little more pirate-like (ARGHHH!).
You basically choose colorful gems to fill the skull with based on attributes like strength, loyalty, healing, faith, and more. These skulls are SUPER nice, too — they’re by Arribas Bros. (you know, the same folks who made that crystal Cinderella Castle). However, we also have to mention the AMAZING Light-Up Crystal Skull, which you can pick up here, too.
So you see, you can get some VERY unique souvenirs that a lot of folks are missing out on. We’re hoping if we get the word out, though, there will be even more demand for these souvenirs because they are SO worth it.
