It’s May and that means we’re celebrating EVERYTHING Star Wars.
Yes, the Season of the Force is in full swing in Disneyland, along with Disneyland After Dark: Star Wars Nite. May the Fourth is also quite a big deal with us Star Wars fans. Then there’s the 25th Anniversary of Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace to celebrate, including seeing the movie come back to the big screen. Well, in honor of all the Star Wars celebrations, two very special popcorn buckets have been released.
The original sassy droid, R2-D2, has been turned into a popcorn bucket to celebrate the re-release of The Phantom Menace in theaters. You’ll be able to pick him up at AMC Theaters for a limited time for $49.99. The popcorn bucket…err…vessel…comes with a large popcorn and drink.
He’s available right now but will only be around while supplies last at participating locations — and we have a feeling he won’t last long because EVERYONE loves R2-D2, right? So, as R2 himself might say, “Bleep Bloop,” which means get to AMC Theaters now!
Of course, if you’re in Disney World for May the 4th, you can get your hands on a special Salvaged Stormtrooper Helmet Popcorn Bucket in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
@disneyparks Sell it to Dok-Ondar? 👎 Fill it with popcorn? 👍🍿 #Disney #DisneyParks #Disneyland #DisneyWorld #StarWars #StarWarsGalaxysEdge #GalaxysEdge #MayThe4thBeWithYou #StarWarsDay #PopcornBucket #StormTrooper #DisneyEats
We managed to get a peek at this popcorn bucket, and there seem to be plenty available, but these will probably go quickly, too! This popcorn bucket goes for $27, which also includes popcorn. During our visit, the line to get ahold of one of these buckets was SUPER long.
Don’t have an AMC Theater nearby? You can get a special Star Wars: The Phantom Menace Popcorn Bucket at both Cinemark and Regal Cinemas movie theaters. It’s not as cool as the R2-D2 popcorn bucket, but you can still honor the movie’s big anniversary with it.
May the Force be with you! Happy anniversary to The Phantom Menace!
