Reminder: Popular Disney Ride Closing SOON for Maintenance!

It’s important for Disney rides to undergo refurbishment when they need it.

We know, it’s frustrating for guests who want to experience the attraction when it’s unavailable, but if the ride isn’t kept in good shape, it could break down for even longer. That’s why Disney schedules refurbishments exactly when they’re needed for short times (not if you’re Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, though, then you’ll take forever). If you’re in Disneyland soon, beware that this ride is closing for TLC!

Matterhorn Bobsleds is one of the more popular rides in Disneyland, but it’s also one of the oldest, and it requires regular maintenance. The ride went under a regular refurbishment around this time in 2023, and is getting ready to close again on April 15th.

According to the Disneyland calendar, the ride will be closed from April 15th-May 2nd, with times showing again on May 3rd.

Hold up, though, because you may still get to ride during this period! Disneyland is using an unusual maintenance schedule here. The ride will be closed Monday through Thursday, but be open Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays during this time.

This is likely just general maintenance to keep the ride in tip top shape, but we’re happy to see it will still be open during the busy spring weekends!
