Sad Mimosa News: This is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things at Disney World Hotels

*sigh* Oh how we hate when something we love gets taken away.

No, we’re not talking about Splash Mountain (because we’re REALLY excited for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure) — we mean like how we don’t have giant pencils at Roundup Rodeo BBQ anymore because people kept stealing them (HOW?!). Yet another one of our favorite things in Disney World is gone, and this time it’s from a menu.

Steakhouse 71 is a fantastic table service location at Disney’s Contemporary Resort that’s often overlooked, especially its breakfast. They have well-known exquisite menu items such as their steak (of course), cheeseburger, and bacon and grits (we were SERIOUSLY impressed by their bacon and grits last time we were there).

One of our favorite breakfast offerings at the restaurant was the Refillable Mimosas option! The option was previously $19 and made with Mas Fi Cava Brut Sparkling Wine and Orange Juice.

Now, it’s nowhere to be seen on the menu.

There was no announcement made about this change, and Disney seems to have taken it off the menu very recently. We’re really bummed about this, not only because it was an offering we loved, but we know a lot of you enjoyed it too.

Menus change at Disney World all the time. It’s not uncommon for us to visit a restaurant to find something has been removed, added, or changed in some other way. While we try nearly everything inside Disney World, we realize that not everything will be around forever. So keep checking back to DFB for more restaurant updates!
