Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is getting closer and closer to opening in Disney World!

The ride will pick up where The Princess and the Frog left off and promises quite an adventure during Mardi Gras season in New Orleans. We’ve been keeping up with all the construction progress, and now we’ve got an exciting update!
We spotted some changes over at Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Disney World! Magnolia trees have officially started being planted over at the ride.

But, we also saw a sad sight. The former Briar Patch souvenir shop had its old entrance and all the Splash Mountain elements in the windows covered up!

Luckily, this just means we’re just that much closer to the ride’s opening. Disney has shared that we can expect its opening sometime in the summer, but we don’t have an opening date just yet.
In other Tiana’s Bayou Adventure news, Disney just shared that NEW gift shops will be opening along with the Disneyland version of the ride! Ray’s Berets and Louis’ Critter Club will be opening later this year.
