A NEW Character Meet-and-Greet Is Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios SOON

It’s time to break out your autograph books, y’all!

We have some BIG character news coming at y’all. We’ve already gotten so many BIG announcements from Disney, and they are continuing to bless us with even more news as the day goes on. We’ve already heard about the opening of CommuniCore Hall, and a NEW limited-time experience that will be coming to EPCOT — but what about Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom? Well, we have some fun news for those parks too, so let’s talk about it!

For some people, character experiences are one of the BIGGEST parts of their trips to Disney World. We LOVE that, and always enjoy a nice meet and greet ourselves.

Pixar Plaza

Have you ever been wandering around Disney’s Hollywood Studios and ended up in Pixar Plaza? It is the home to a TON of Pixar characters — like some favorites from The Incredibles. Beginning on June 10th, we will be able to meet a NEW Pixar character here — Joy from Inside Out! She’ll be joining a bunch of her Pixar pals just in time for the release of Inside Out 2!

Previously, we could meet Joy in ImageWorks at EPCOT — however, according to the Disney website, Joy is being temporarily relocated — so will she eventually make her way back to EPCOT? Only time will tell, but we’ll be on the lookout! 👀

We’re so excited to see Joy in the lineup at Pixar Plaza, but that wasn’t the only character news we’ve gotten!

Timon and Rafiki on a Floatilla!

Over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, they are celebrating the 30th anniversary of The Lion King! This celebration will commence on June 10th (such a MASSIVE date for the Disney Parks!), and end on September 6th of 2024. Of course, we’re getting a brand new merchandise collection and some new snacks to celebrate, but there are some even BIGGER things coming for the celebration… the meet and greet of Timon and Rafiki is returning!

Let’s go to Rafiki’s Planet Watch!

You’ll be able to meet them at Rafiki’s Planet Watch, so be sure to hop on the Wildlife Express so you can take advantage of this rare meet and greet coming back for a limited time! We’re so excited to tell them about how much “Hakuna Matata” has impacted our everyday lives since they taught it to us.

We are SO excited to be able to interact with these characters again, and to meet Joy in a new area! Their exact meeting places and times haven’t been announced quite yet, so keep checking in with us at DFB for updates!
