Heading to EPCOT soon? You can experience the International Flower & Garden Festival!
This year’s festival runs from February 28th through May 27th, and we were there on the first day to try ALL the food booths and all the new eats (plus some returning favorites!). We battled our way through dozens of dishes with varying prices, and we’re here to tell you that if you’re on the Disney Dining Plan, this festival might be a great place to get some bang for your buck!
The Disney Dining Plan is an add-on for vacation packages at Disney World that allows you to purchase your meals and snacks in advance. With your Dining Plan, you’re given a specific number of “credits” per person, per day to use on meals and snacks. To get the most value out of your dining plan, the best thing to do is to spend those credits on the most expensive items possible.
And at EPCOT? Well, many of the festival food items can be purchased using your snack credits. We’ve rounded up a list of the best value snack credits at the 2024 EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival!
Veal Tenderloin from EPCOT Farmers Feast
At Farmers Feast, the menu rotates throughout the festival, but during the Early Bloom Menu (which is available February 28th-March 30th), you can grab the Veal Tenderloin with spring pea risotto featuring Ben’s Original International Grains Arborio Rice and red wine syrup.
This dish comes out to $8.50, making it a great use of a snack credit!
Grilled Warm Lobster Tail at Florida Fresh
During the first day of the festival, Florida Fresh’s booth hadn’t yet opened, but they were serving the Florida Fresh menu inside the Odyssey Pavilion. There, we got to try the Grilled Warm Lobster Tail with Key lime butter.
This is one of the most expensive food items at this year’s festival, priced at $11.25.
Steam Bun at Hanami
Heading over to the Japan Pavilion, they’ve got a couple of good values this year! The first is the Steam Bun filled with vegetables and plant-based soy meat.
This item is brand-new this year and it’s available for $8.50.
Ramen Cup at Hanami
Also at Hanami, you’ll find the Ramen Cup, which is ramen salad shaken in a cup with fresh vegetables, grilled chicken, and dashi broth with chili oil and yuzu. This is another brand new festival item!
The portion on this cup is pretty solid, and it’s $8.50, so it’s a great use of a snack credit.
Sope de Chilorio at Jardin de Fiestas
At the front of the World Showcase in the Mexico Pavilion, you’ll find Jardin de Fiestas! This booth has a new item called the Sope de Chilorio in 2024. It’s made with Guajillo pepper-braised pork on fried corn shells with black beans, shredded cabbage, crema Mexicana, queso fresco, and chives.
This is now available at Jardin de Fiestas for $8.50.
Tamale de Rajas at Jardin de Fiestas
Also available at the Mexico Pavilion booth is the Tamale de Rajas. It’s made with Poblano peppers, corn, and cheese in masa topped with poblano cream sauce, crema Mexicana, pickled carrots, and onions with chives.
This one is a little bit more expensive, priced at $8.75.
House-Made Cheesy Crab Wontons at Lotus House
One of our returning favorites is the House-made Cheesy Crab Wontons in the China Pavilion. We’ve had these many times at Lotus House, and we keep coming back for more!
This year, they’re available for $8.25 and we got three with our order. Not the largest portion of the items on the list, honestly.
Spicy Hot Dog at Pineapple Promenade
Another returning item that we’ve seen at the festival for several years in a row now is the Spicy Hot Dog with pineapple chutney and plantain chips. You’ll find this at Pineapple Promenade in the front of World Showcase!
If you’re a hot dog fan (or a pineapple fan, I guess!) you can grab this for $8.
Arrabbiata at Primavera Kitchen
The Italy Pavilion is known for having festival booths with expensive items, but in this case, it pays off for those using the Dining Plan! For Flower & Garden, you can get the Arrabbiata for $9.25.
It’s made with pennette pasta, spicy tomato sauce, and buttery shrimp and it’s brand-new this year!
So there you have it — our list of the best Disney Dining Plan snack credits at the 2024 EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival! Stay tuned to DFB for more Dining Plan updates and Flower & Garden Festival news.
