Menu
For eats, the IMPOSSIBLE Farmhouse Meatball is back this year at Trowel & Trellis this year, as are the Soy-glazed Sticky Ribs. New (ish… we’ll explain…) to the booth is the Chocolate Mousse Terrarium!
That said, ALL of the drinks are new to Trowel & Trellis: these include the Raspberry and Lemon Herbal Tea (which can be purchased with or without gin), Surreal Brewing Co. Natural Bridges Kolsch Style Non-Alcoholic Beer, and Brew Hub Strawberry Heatwave Berliner.
Here we go…
Eats
The plant-based IMPOSSIBLE Farmhouse Meatball is plated with lentil bread, spinach, marinated vegetables, and creamy herb aïoli.
It’s one of the eligible items for those participating in the Garden Graze this year, and it costs $6.00. It was VERY good! You can tell it’s impossible meat as it’s very spiced, but not in a bad way. You can taste the vegetables that are on it, and they add some crunch.
The aioli on top was a nice, earthy addition to the meat. We also really enjoyed the lentil bread which tied everything together nicely, and it was very soft. Overall, we think that it has best of the fest potential for plant-based meals.
The Soy-glazed Sticky Ribs with green onions and peanuts are returning for $7.00; however, you may not be familiar with it as part of the Flower and Garden Festival.
You see, this dish made its original appearance a few years ago at the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival! And WOW, did it ever impress. So, what about NOW? It was PHENOMENAL. We genuinely loved these ribs. They were very savory. You can taste the soy a bit, and ours came with some jalapeños and peppers that weren’t listed on the menu.
Overall, we loved these as they were very sticky and sweet. Another best of the fest in our opinions.
So, earlier we mentioned that the Chocolate Mousse Terrarium, which is made with matcha crumble and chocolate “soil,” is new-ISH, and you can pick it up for $5.50. Here’s the thing…
This appears to be an updated version of what was previously the Chocolate Pudding Terrarium, and TBH, it has typically looked prettier than it tasted. So we’re definitely curious as to how this year’s mousse-based version comes across…
We thought this year’s version was actually very cute! The little flower on top was adorable. The matcha crumble on top was very light. It did have a matcha flavor, but it was quite subtle. The chocolate filling was creamy, smooth, and rich. It was sweet but not too sweet. One word of warning, though, it will melt in the sun and get runny.
It’s definitely another best of the fest for us!
Let’s get to sippin’!
Drinks
The new Raspberry and Lemon Herbal Tea features Twinings Raspberry & Lemon Herbal Tea and Simply Limeade. It can be ordered as a non-alcoholic beverage for $4.50, though of-age guests may opt to try it with Conniption Kinship Gin for $12.
This drink is dangerous! We ordered it with gin, and it’s absolutely delicious and lightly sweet. The lemon comes through loud and clear. It’s almost like the best Arnold Palmer you’ve ever had. And that gin? Well, you can’t really taste it, but it’s there, which is what makes it dangerous. On a hot day, we could gulp this down so fast, and before the gin even hit us we could be on our second one. Whoops.

The new Surreal Brewing Co. Natural Bridges Kolsch Style is a non-alcoholic beer option at the Festival!
You can try it for $5.75 for a 6-ounce pour, or $9.75 for 12 ounces. Honestly, we did not enjoy this NA beer at all. We found it to be VERY bitter.
It had some light citrus undertones (maybe), but the boldest flavors we got from it were sour and bitter. They do make you show your ID when you purchase this even though it’s non-alcoholic, because it does contain a very small percentage of alcohol.
Finally, the Brew Hub Strawberry Heatwave Berliner is new this year. This one is also $5.75 for a 6-ounce pour or $9.75 for 12 ounces.

Brew Hub Strawberry Heatwave Berliner
While Berliners have fallen out of popularity a bit in Germany, sour beers are becoming trendy here in the U.S., and this Berliner is a good example of what you can expect from craft breweries here. Berliners are a hazy wheat beer, low in ABV, and often have added fruit flavor to add some sweetness to the typical sour taste. In Germany, this is sometimes done by the addition of a fruit syrup mixed into the drink itself, but the modern Berliners are being brewed with fruity flavors. Hence, the bright coral color of this one. The strawberry comes through loud and clear, right along with the sour. If you have never tried a hazy sour beer, this would be a good one to start with!
OVERALL
Don’t discredit this booth because of the NA beer! All of the food here was AMAZING and will all make our best of the fest list. If you want some tasty snacks, you should definitely stop by Trowel & Trellis.
