We share all of the tips and tricks we find with you, but we swear we’ll never tell you to do something illegal or against the rules in Disney World.
However, there are all kinds of little secrets and hacks that will help you make the most of your Disney World trips. We don’t gatekeep here — we’re always going to share these things with you (plus you know we’ll always keep you updated on Disney FOOD). So here are a few tricks that we want to tell you about that FEEL illegal, but we swear they’re not!
Secret menus
Okay, so we’re all about Disney food, so much that it’s in our name. So OF COURSE, we’re going to share with you all the secret menu items you need to know about Disney World restaurants. Sometimes these secrets mean uttering a certain phrase or asking for something specific. Sometimes, it’s just knowing what to order. Sometimes, you just need to ask your server for the secret menu (try this at Skipper Canteen in Magic Kingdom).
We also come up with ingenious hacks (well, they’re ingenious to us!) to create some NEW snacks at Disney World. From showing you how to create your own Mickey Ear Cookie Ice Cream Sandwich to Chocolate-Dipped Mickey Pretzels, we’ve got ALL the good food hacks.

Getting CHEAPER ticket prices
So the base Disney World ticket starts at $109, but that can go up depending on which park you’re visiting and what day, plus how many days you need tickets for. So how can you manage the CHEAPEST tickets? You’ll need to keep two things in mind. First, ticket prices tend to be cheaper at the beginning of the week, Monday through Wednesday.
Second, park tickets tend to cover a range of dates, so you have some wiggle room when you select your dates. So here’s the thing, when you buy your ticket and select your number of days, you do NOT have to use that ticket on the first day of your trip. But the ticket price is based on that start date. For example, if you choose a 4-day ticket with a start date on Tuesday (one of the cheapest days), but you’ll be in Disney World for seven days, you can wait and use that park ticket later in the week when it would have been more expensive.
NEVER travel for full price with these 6 hacks.
Stacking Lightning Lanes
Okay, you’ve bought Genie+ for your park day and you want to ride as many rides as possible, maybe even more than the standard 2-3 rides that Disney suggests you can do in a day on Genie+. So Disney says you can only book one attraction on Genie+ at a time when you use Genie+. Well, technically, that’s not true.
You can actually stack Lightning Lane reservations. When you reach your Lightning Lane return time window, redeem as close to the beginning of that time as you can. As soon as you scan into your Lightning Lane, you can book another one. Then you want to use the 120-minute rule to your advantage.
So here’s the thing, you can make your next Lightning Lane selection when you’ve used the first one you booked, your return time window has ended, or 120 minutes have passed since you booked your last one. Okay, so this is how you use the 120-minute rule in your favor: You can book another Lightning Lane 120 minutes (aka two hours) after reserving your previous one, essentially allowing you to have TWO Lightning Lane return times at a time.
It may seem sneaky, but Disney is TOTALLY okay with it.

So there you have three things you can do in Disney World that might make you feel like you’re breaking the rules, but you’re not! So use this information to your advantage!
