Disney just announced that a NEW quick service restaurant is coming to Downtown Disney: Tiendita.

The new eatery will be located at Disneyland Resort’s center for shopping and dining, and it’s a sister restaurant to Paseo and Céntrico (two other new restaurants coming soon). Here’s a quick look at EVERYTHING we know about this new spot!

Location

Tiendita is located at Downtown Disney in Disneyland Resort. It’ll be on the west side of Downtown Disney, in the same area where Paseo and Céntrico will be.

If you head to this spot now, you’ll see construction walls up around the building with announcements about the new restaurants!

Menu

The menu for Tiendita will be created by Michelin-starred Chef Carlos Gaytán (the same chef who’s creating the menus for Paseo and Céntrico). Chef Gaytán is from Mexico and plans to “offer guests a multi-sensory journey to the heart of [his] homeland.”

Tiendita will feature “Chef Gaytán’s Mexican heritage flavors on-the-go, with quick-service Mexican street-food staples.”

Restaurant Style

Tiendita is a quick-service restaurant, meaning you won’t be seated by a host or order your food from a server. Usually, at Disney’s quick-service restaurants, you order your food at a counter, pick it up, and then seat yourself.

The concept art that Disney shared seems to show that counter. There’s a menu above it that says, “Order here, pick up inside.” It sounds like you’ll go up to that counter, order from the menu, and then go around back to the pick-up window that you can spot in the background. We don’t know yet whether seating will be available inside.

Paseo will be a full restaurant, with the dining room located upstairs.

Céntrico will be a courtyard bar and restaurant that offers a “high-end Mexican-inspired small plate menu” along with “tequila-based cocktails.”

Opening Timeline

Disney confirmed that Paseo and Céntrico will be opening in the Spring of 2024, so we are fairly certain that Tiendita will open around the same time. However, Tiendita was announced in January 2024, whereas Paseo and Céntrico were announced in April 2022, so it’s possible that the quick service location is on a delayed timeline. We’ll be watching for confirmation on this spot’s opening date!
