A super popular ride is temporarily CLOSING tomorrow in Magic Kingdom!
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is one of the “mountain” roller coasters in Disney World, and it’s definitely a fan-favorite attraction. Disney will temporarily close this Frontierland ride for some updates and refurbishments, starting tomorrow, January 16th. Here’s what you need to know about the closure!
Disney has announced that Big Thunder Mountain Railroad will be closed from January 16th through January 20th.

The ride is showing opening hours once again starting on January 21st.

Disney says that this closure is for “regularly scheduled maintenance.”
We’ve seen several popular rides close for maintenance recently, including Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster in Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Kali River Rapids in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Both of those closures, however, are planned to last multiple months, so Big Thunder got off easy compared to those two.
