ALERT! Daytime Entertainment at Disney World Is CHANGING

We have noticed some BIG changes coming to Disney World.

Honestly, they’re probably not the changes that you think. We’ve already told you about SO many changes coming in 2024, so what else could there be? Let’s narrow it down — it has nothing to do with park pass reservations, the Disney Dining Plan, or the opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. Honestly, this upcoming change could be something you didn’t expect.

The daily entertainment options at the Magic Kingdom are a mainstay. Many people plan their entire day around parades, stage shows, and cavalcades — and we don’t blame them! The entertainment adds a level of ambiance and immersion into your day. Let’s be real — who doesn’t want the opportunity to see characters they love performing?

Well, we noticed some BIG changes coming to the live entertainment at Magic Kingdom — and not only one entertainment offering is changing. We noticed that the performance times on the My Disney Experience app have CHANGED beginning on January 16th. Let’s talk about it.

One of the BIGGEST changes we found was with the Festival of Fantasy parade. Recently, the parade has been happening twice per day — once at 12 PM and once at 3 PM. However, that is going to change. Beginning on January 16th, you will only be able to see the Festival of Fantasy parade ONCE a day — at 3 PM.

The Festival of Fantasy parade isn’t the only thing that is changing. We also noted some changes coming to the Adventure Friends Cavalcade. Recently, we could only see this cavalcade once a day at 5:10 PM. On January 16th, we will also be seeing changes to this showtime. If you want to see this Cavalcade, make sure you head to Main Street, USA at 10:30 AM or 11:45 AM!

The entertainment going down Main Street, USA isn’t the only thing that is changing. We also will be seeing the Dapper Dans at different times during the day. These changes aren’t huge, but still very important to note if you’re planning on watching their show! After their normal 9:50 AM showtime, we will be seeing them a little later than usual. They will be back out to perform at 10:55 AM. After this, their showtimes pick back up at 12:15 PM and are followed by a show at 1:05 PM, 2:00 PM, and 3:40 PM. These aren’t major changes, but they are still some tweaks that we will see beginning on January 16th.

Has anyone given them a dollar yet?

Finally, we’ve seen some changes to the times that we can find the Casey’s Corner pianist. Right now, we are able to see him as early as 10:50 AM — but that will also be changing on January 16th. Their first performance time will be changed to 12:05 PM, and we’ll see them out once per hour after that, with their last showtime being 6:15 PM. So, it looks like they will be coming out later and performing later.

We’re glad we picked up on all of these changes. In case you missed it, these will be taking place beginning on January 16th. As far as we know, they will continue through February 4th — but once Disney releases the showtimes calendar past that, we’ll let you know if they are here to stay.
