We’ve seen fluctuations in pricing lately for Genie+, record highs for pricing with the highest anticipated crowds of the year as 2023 came to a close, and now we’ve seen Genie+ sell out again in just days!
UPDATE: As of 3:30PM, Genie+ had sold out in Magic Kingdom as well.

The holiday and New Year crowds have certainly made their impact in the Disney World parks. We’ve seen Genie+ sell out recently, but now we’re seeing that it’s sold out AGAIN for one park.
Hollywood Studios crowds
On January 2nd, 2024, Disney’s Hollywood Studios sold out of their Genie+ option for park visitors. When it sold out, that also took the multiple park option away from purchase.

The price for Genie+ for this park was $26 today, and the multiple-park option would have cost you $29.

It’s important to note that the other parks are currently still available although park pass reservations for Magic Kingdom are sold out today.
This tells us that Disney’s Hollywood Studios is a busy park to visit today if you’re at Disney World. If you missed your chance to buy Genie+ but still want to ride some of those popular Hollywood Studios rides, we recommend hopping in line later in the evening, as we usually see wait times drop just a little while before the park closes.
Time to Ride This at Night!
Remember that you can buy Genie+ starting at midnight on the day of your trip, and you can begin making Lightning Lane reservations as early as 7AM. Getting an early start will definitely give you an advantage with this service!

It’s great to see that prices have dropped for Genie+ compared to the holiday pricing we saw over Christmas and New Year’s, but the lower price point could mean that more people will buy it than would at the higher price. Be ready to buy Genie+ ASAP during your trip to make sure you don’t miss out!
