It’s December, which means we’re in the middle of the holiday season at Disney World.
The holiday decorations are up, the snoap is falling, and we’re eating ALL the snacks with eggnog, peppermint, and chocolate flavors. However, if you visit a certain gelato cart in Disney World, you can literally GO BACK IN TIME (just like in Doctor Who) and revisit Halloween if you want.
It’s no secret we LOOOOVVEEE the Gelato Cart in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. We’ve had some AMAZING flavors here, including Mango, POG (yes, as in POG juice), and Cookies and Cream. Some of thespecialty flavors change out, usually every month. But really, it seems to be whenever they feel like it; there’s no strict schedule when it comes to menu changes.
So, here’s the thing — we check the cart often for new flavors, and we don’t think we’ve seen a new one since…well, in a while. Now, back in September, we mixed mango and POG for a delicious experiment, and we highly recommend that dessert. But we decided to check to see what the cart was offering NOW, in December, expecting some kind of delicious Christmas-y flavor. Instead…we got…well, the Flavor of the Month is PUMPKIN.
So, if you miss Halloween and want to celebrate, be sure to grab some pumpkin gelato to get your Halloween feels on in the middle of December. Why not, right? The Flavor of the Month has previously been Pumpkin Cheesecake, so this is a slight change to a familiar flavor from this snack spot.
So…um…Happy Halloween, we guess? We’ll keep an eye out for more new snacks in Disney World (including late spooky ones), so stay tuned to DFB for more.
