WARNING: Our Beloved Carrot Cake Cookie Just Got MORE EXPENSIVE

This is NOT the news we wanted to find today. And it’s probably not the news you want to read today. But if you love this classic Disney World treat as much as we do, you need to be aware of a painful update.

One of our favorite snacks in all of Disney World is the Carrot Cake Whoopie Pie (most people just call it the Carrot Cake Cookie) found at the Trolley Car Café in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Unfortunately, this delicious treat has broken our hearts in TWO ways!

It’s with a heavy heart and a tearful wallet that we must tell you the Carrot Cake Whoopie Pie has been hit with a price increase…AGAIN.

This treat was $3.99 in 2021 (a STEAL of a deal if you ask us), but in 2022, it went up in price by a whole dollar to $4.99. Now, it’s gotten more expensive once again, increasing in price by $0.50. According to the online menu, the Carrot Cake Whoopie Pie now costs $5.49.

Price increases have affected lots of our favorite treats and snacks in Disney World over the last few months. Almost every year around October we tend to see price increases across the resort.

Food isn’t the only thing that recently got more expensive — we’ve seen price increases affect Annual Passes, Genie+, tours and special experiences, fireworks dessert parties, parking, and more.

But wait — didn’t we say that this iconic treat broke our hearts in TWO ways? Yep, the bad news doesn’t stop with the price increase. Right now, you can’t get the Carrot Cake Whoopie Pie AT ALL.

Usually, around the holidays, the Carrot Cake Whoopie Pie is pulled off the menu (much to our dismay) to make way for the seasonal Red Velvet Whoopie Pie (which we don’t like as much). This year, we were told that the Carrot Cake Whoopie Pie would NOT be disappearing and would instead be available alongside the Red Velvet version. For a while, this was true.

It’s just not as good…

However, on a recent trip to the Trolley Car Café, we discovered that — despite assurances that it would stick around — the Carrot Cake Whoopie Pie is missing once again. A Cast Member told us that it will return after the holiday season (once that pesky Red Velvet one is gone), but that means about another month without our beloved treat.

So…yeah. We’re sorry for all the bad news, but it’s better to be prepared than to go to Disney World full of hope, only to have your heart broken.
