There is SO much to see and do in Disney World — how is anyone supposed to choose?!

Luckily, there’s something for just about everyone. You’re a fan of thrill rides? Check. Slow, dark, themed rides? Check. Delicious snacks and drinks? Yep. Water slides and more?! Also, yes. But, if you were planning on heading to Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park anytime soon, we’ve got a bit of bad news to share.
Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park will be closed on December 6th and 7th due to cold (by Florida standards) weather!
Let’s go to Blizzard Beach!
We know, it seems a little silly for a park called Blizzard Beach to close because of chilly weather, but Disney often does this when the weather isn’t ideal or if they’re not anticipating a ton of visitors to the park.
Don’t worry, though, Blizzard Beach will reopen on December 8th and remain that way for the foreseeable future. If you’re planning on making a visit, park hours for the rest of the week are from 10AM to 5PM.
Summit Plummet
December is a great time to visit Blizzard Beach because there’s just so much going on! One of the most important things about the holiday season is meeting the big man in red, Santa himself!
You can catch him in his tropical best at Blizzard Beach from the park’s opening time to 12:30PM each day leading up until Christmas. December 24th is the last day to meet him since he’ll have a long night ahead.
