This Might be the LONGEST Line at Jollywood Nights in Disney's Hollywood Studios

There’s a brand-new holiday party in Disney World, and so far, it seems to be pretty popular! How can we tell? Well, we can explain!

Jollywood Nights is the new holiday party in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. It’s a snazzy, jazzy little event with exclusive character meet-and-greets, new snacks, and two new shows, too! But before we get carried away and start talking about all those party-exclusive experiences, we need to talk about a little problem we ran into as the party was getting started.

OK, so there are two ways to enter Disney’s Hollywood Studios as a party guest during the Jollywood Nights event. First, you can do it the old-fashioned way: arrive at Disney’s Hollywood Studios before the party starts at 7PM, wait in line, scan your party ticket, get an event wristband and lanyard, and enter the park.

We can’t promise you’ll stroll through the gates right at 7PM when the party starts, but the line to enter usually moves forward at a steady pace.

Option 2? Enter Disney’s Hollywood Studios EARLY (before the park opens to party guests at 7PM) with a regular park ticket or Annual Pass. Once you’re in the park, though, you’ll need a party lanyard and wristband, and the line to get ahold of those two key items was…long. Very long.

WHOA!

In fact, we waited 30-45 minutes for a wristband! And Cast Members are pretty strict about checking for your wristband and lanyard, so waiting in line is sort of a necessary inconvenience.

That’s a LONG line!

We first checked on the line to get a wristband (at the Vacation Fun Mickey Shorts Theater) at around 6PM. At 7:30PM, the line was still wrapped all along Echo Lake. That means some guests were stuck waiting for a wristband DURING the party!

We waited a pretty long time!

Now, we can’t make any promises here, but in our experience waiting in both the wristband distribution line outside AND inside the park, it seems like you might be better off getting a wristband at the Hollywood Studios park entrance. On night one of Jollywood Nights, there was only ONE wristband distribution spot inside the park, so we saw a LOT of Annual Passholders stuck waiting in a long line.

Keep in mind that this is night ONE of Jollywood Nights, so it might take a few parties for Disney to work out all the kinks! In the meantime, we’re covering ALL the things you can see and do during the party, so stay tuned for more.
