Inside Out 2 — The Disney x Pixar sequel to Inside Out — doesn’t come out until June 14th, 2024, but it’s already made Disney HISTORY!

Joy from Inside Out
We can’t wait to see the new movie, and it’s clear that we aren’t alone. In fact, over 150 million people have already watched the trailer, which means this film has broken an animated movie RECORD at the company.
Pixar recently shared the following on Instagram: “We are filled with joy to have the best fans in the world, making Pixar’s #InsideOut2 teaser the most-watched animated trailer of all-time at The Walt Disney Company with 157M views!”

The trailer, which was released Thursday, November 9th, is officially the biggest animated trailer launch in Disney history, gaining 157 million views in 24 hours. The previous record holder was Frozen 2 from 2019, according to Disney.
Disney shared that a lot of those views came from TikTok. The trailer had about 78 million views on that platform.

Inside Out 2 follows the emotions in Riley’s mind as Riley embarks on her teenage years and copes with all kinds of changes that come with that transition.
In the trailer, we’re introduced to Anxiety — a new emotion for Riley. Anxiety lets it slip that even more emotions are on their way: Embarrassment, Ennui, and Envy will also join the crew of Joy, Sadness, Fear, Disgust, Anger, and Anxiety.

Anxiety is voiced by Maya Hawke. She joins Amy Poehler as Joy, Phyllis Smith as Sadness, Lewis Black as Anger, Tony Hale as Fear, and Liza Lapira as Disgust in the film.
Pete Docter, Chief Creative Officer of Pixar, shared, “We are thrilled so many people have tuned in to check out the new trailer for Inside Out 2. When the first film came out, we knew that by telling a story where we could see our emotions—those little voices inside your head—there would be so much more to explore than we could possibly fit into one film.”

Inside Out 2 debuts exclusively in theaters on June 14th, 2024.
