After months of waiting, the Disney Wish is finally ready to set sail!
We’re on board the Wish bringing you all sorts of details about the ship, like a tour of the staterooms, plus our review of the Worlds of Marvel restaurant on board, and we even drank out of a bird at the new piano bar on the ship. Now, we’re taking a look at the sweet shop, Inside Out: Joyful Sweets.
This candy shop is inspired by the Pixar movie, Inside Out, and has huge statues for the characters throughout the shop.
There’s Joy…
…Sadness and Disgust standing with some memories…
…and Fear and Anger.
At this shop, you’ll find hand-scooped gelato, in waffle cones.
If you’re looking to enhance your gelato with some toppings, Inside Out: Joyful Sweets has you covered there.
You can get fresh fruit like strawberries, as well as sprinkles, marshmallows, confetti popcorn Oreos, and more! If gelato isn’t what you’re looking for, the candy shop also has some bakery items. We tried the Strawberry & Chocolate Gelato with strawberry compote and strawberry pearls. We also paired it with a chocolate covered strawberry.
We thought it was delicious, thanks to the little chocolate pieces in the gelato, plus the addition of the strawberry compote (which was amazing) and the strawberry pearls added a great texture because of the crunch.
You can get macarons plenty of different flavors, like Passion Fruit, Chocolate, Rose Petal, and Vanilla.
You can also get chocolate spheres themed after each of the different emotions in Inside Out.
There’s also cupcakes for each of the emotions, as well. A lemon cupcake for Joy and a blueberry cupcake for Sadness…
…and a red velvet cupcake for Anger (obviously) with a Pistachio cupcake for Disgust.
There’s also vanilla cupcakes for Captain Mickey and Captain Minnie.
We decided to try the Joy Lemon Cupcake, which is lemon with white chocolate mousse on top instead of frosting. We thought it was very fresh tasting and tasted good. Some people will definitely like the mousse instead of frosting, it makes the whole cupcake a lot lighter in flavor.
We also tried the Captain Mickey Cupcake, which is a classic vanilla cupcake with vanilla buttercream frosting. We liked the traditional frosting, but be warned: this cupcake is definitely on the sweet side, so we’d go for the Joy Cupcake if you’re not looking for sweet.
You’ll also find other assorted treats like chocolate-covered strawberries, brownies, and popsicles.
We also got a sneak peek at the Bing Bong Sundae Bowls, which are not currently available, but will be soon. They are souvenir sundae bowls that look like Bing Bong, who is Riley’s imaginary friend in Inside Out!
If you want to head to Inside Out: Joyful Sweets during your cruise on the Disney Wish, know that treats here are not included with your cruise package and are an additional charge.
If you’re looking for other things to do on your Disney Wish vacation, your kids can check out the kids clubs onboard.
We’ll be bringing you more updates and information from the Disney Wish, so make sure to stay tuned to DFB for all the latest.
