We’ve been talking a lot about Christmas and holidays recently.
But we shouldn’t get ahead of ourselves too much. As many people like to remember, there is still another holiday BEFORE Christmas (even if we just want to put up our trees and sing carols). Thanksgiving is celebrated in America in November, and while it’s not as big of a celebration as the other winter holidays, many do partake in turkey day. One snack company is here to remind us about the season of thanks!
Baskin-Robbins is a highly enjoyed ice cream shop around the U.S. that is known for its delicious and fun flavors.
This year, the ice cream shop is making sure we don’t forget about Thanksgiving by giving us a turkey dinner-flavored ice cream! But don’t worry, there is NO turkey flavor involved.
The new November flavor of the month is called ‘Turkey Day Fixins,’ and it includes flavors of honey cornbread, spiced sweet potato, and Ocean Spray Cranberry. Long gone are the leftover Thanksgiving sandwiches; now we have Thanksgiving ice cream! The company is also bringing back their Turkey Cake–which looks just like a whole turkey. Luckily, no turkey was used to make this replica cake, either. Instead, sweet sugar cones and a caramel praline glaze finish this sponge ice cream cake.
But Baskin-Robins isn’t the only ice cream company to create unique flavors! In fact, we’ve seen and tried some interesting ice cream at Salt & Straw in Disney Springs, too, like the Chocolate Potato Salad Ice Cream or the Caramelized Turkey and Cranberry Sauce ice cream. Turns out buttery, salty ice cream made to taste like a Parker House roll is more common than you might think!

We’re not quite sure how to feel about these Thanksgiving treats; they are certainly creative! Stop by your local Baskin-Robins to sample them today.
