REVIEW: This Limited-Time EPCOT Treat Is a Chocolate Lover’s DREAM

The holidays might be right around the corner, but we’re still taking in the last remnants of spooky season!

Disney World is too, because now that Halloween is officially here we’ve got a NEW treat to try. Come with us over to EPCOT to see what we’re snackin’ on today!

We picked up the Mickey Halloween Liege Waffle from Connections Cafe in EPCOT! This is a Dark Chocolate Liege Waffle with Purple and Green Icing and Mickey on top! You can get it on Halloween day only for $4.19.

Chocolate waffle

The chocolate is dark and rich and only lightly sweetened. It’s not a super sweet treat which can be a good thing for some people! It’s got a fluffy overall feel and is more yeasty in flavor than it is sweet. The waffle was soft and cake-like and easily melted in our mouth when we took a bite, though we do wish it had been warmer.

You won’t find a whole lot of depth here, as chocolate is pretty much the only flavor. It’s also very messy to eat which can be a nightmare when you’re in the parks.

We would say this is a good treat for chocolate lovers and people who like the other liege waffles at Connections but want a chocolate version. If you’re expecting a regular waffle or don’t like getting messy when eating, we’d suggest skipping this one.
