Remember those adorable droids that basically took over the internet when they first emerged in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland?

The wandering droids are being tested right now by Disney’s Imagineering department, and it looks like they might show up in even more parks in the future!

A little while ago, Disney debuted these super cute droids in the Galaxy’s Edge land of Disneyland. The little band of BD units took to the streets of Batuu to look around and say hello to all the visitors.

They’re currently being tested as free-roaming characters.

Disney Imagineers shared on Instagram that they recently met with Disney CEO Bob Iger and Chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products Josh D’Amaro to show off the little droids and discuss “next steps.” They said, “We’re so excited about the variety of ways our Imagineers are bringing new and innovative characters to life using sophisticated technology hidden in little droids like these!”

Could “next steps” mean we’ll see the little wandering droids in Disney World soon? We certainly hope so!

Imagineering also shared this video of the droids being tested. The droids can shine a flashlight, navigate tricky terrain, and even “talk”!

We’ll be watching for updates on whether the droids might show up in Disney World!

The next time you find yourself visiting Disneyland, you might want to keep an eye out for its new littlest visitors. They’ll be happy to see you (and you’ll be happy to see them, we bet!). In the meantime, you can also still run into Ahsoka as well as Hera and Chopper in Disneyland’s Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, so keep an eye out for them, too.
