C’est magnifique!
When talking about French food, fast food is usually absent from the conversation. That being said, quick service delicacies have become prominent at Disney Parks around the world, and Disneyland Paris is no exception. In fact, the Parisian park just announced a NEW fast food restaurant!
Disneyland Paris’ Disney Village (the French version of Disney Springs and Downtown Disney) is in the process of a multi-year makeover and just this week, Disney announced the complete overhaul of a restaurant already in Disney Village. Surprisingly, this restaurant isn’t a French powerhouse, but instead, the American juggernaut McDonald’s.
While a McDo (as the French call it) already exists in Disney Village, this new one is on a completely different scale and will be built next door. The new McDonald’s is expected to open in early 2026 while the old restaurant will continue to be in operation until the opening of the new establishment.
As Europe’s top theme park destination, Disneyland Paris has partnered with McDonald’s since 1999, and the partners are building this massive new restaurant to offer a different experience for their visitors.
The new McDonald’s restaurant is scheduled to begin construction in September of 2024 and boasts an innovative architectural design made exclusively for Disneyland Paris. This new restaurant is part of a Disney Village transformation that aims to “renew the guest experience by combining the best of Disney know-how with attractive family concepts, and a completely reinvented design,” per Disney.
This new Disneyland Paris McDonald’s is still quite a few years away, but we’re excited to see how it separates itself from the rest of the McDonald’s restaurants across the world and at the Disney Parks. In the meantime, stay tuned at DFB for all the latest Disney Parks news!
