BREAKING: NEW ‘Moana’ Show Announced for the Disney Treasure Cruise Ship

There are quite a few major projects on the horizon for Disney!

The company has been announcing several updates for the theme parks that are set to come in the future, along with big news for Disney Cruise Line. One of the Cruise Line projects we’re most excited about is the Disney Treasure…and now we’ve got more information about the entertainment offerings onboard the ship!

Disney has announced that when the Treasure sets sail in December 2024, the curtain will open on a brand-new Broadway-style production — “Disney The Tale of Moana.” This new show will join the lineup of others like “Beauty and the Beast” and “Disney Seas the Adventure.”

The new show will debut exclusively at the Walt Disney Theatre onboard the Disney Treasure and will be the first time that Disney brings the story of Moana to the stage. Disney says, “The show will follow Moana as she embarks on an incredible journey to save her island after she is chosen by the ocean to restore the heart of Te Fiti.”

In the performance, you’ll get to see many beloved characters from the film, including Gramma Tala, Maui, and Tamatoa. And of course, they’ll perform many of your favorite songs from the movie!

Disney Cruise Line casting directors will start the process of casting for this show soon, so stay tuned to the Disney Auditions website if you’re interested. More details about this show will be released in the future.
