HOW MANY People Watched the 'Loki' Season 2 Premiere on Disney+? 🤯

Looks like a popular MCU character’s show has been “burdened with a glorious” reception!

After a very successful first season, Loki is back for a new season on Disney+. The first season gave viewers more of their favorite god of mischief from the Marvel Cinematic Universe and after what we’ve just seen, it’s obvious that fans are eager for more.

Starring Tom Hiddleston as the titular character, Loki season two has premiered to staggering numbers. The new season premiered on October 5th and after only three days, the hit show reached 10.9 million views globally. The premiere numbers of this Marvel Studios series are good enough to rank it SECOND all-time on Disney+, only behind The Mandalorian‘s season three premiere.

Starring Hiddleston, Sophia Di Martino, Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbath-Raw, Ke Huy Quan, Eugene Cordero, and Wunmi Mosaku, Loki sees the anti-hero working with the Time Variance Authority to navigate the multiverse as they search for Miss Minutes, Ravonna Renslayer, and Sylvie.

So far Loki season two has been a massive hit among fans and critics alike. Review-aggregation website Rotten Tomatoes currently has Loki holding a “Certified Fresh” critic score of 90% and a fan score of 94%.

The character of Loki made his first appearance in Thor (2011) as a sympathetic, yet powerful villain. He broke out as one of the Avengers’ main enemies in The Avengers (2012) but has since then become more of an anti-hero, with grayed morality and plenty of nuance. Now, Loki is considered a pillar of not only the MCU but also the Disney Parks as well. You can frequently find him strolling about in Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure.

As previously mentioned, the first episode of Loki is already streaming on Disney+ and has new episodes premiering Thursdays at 6PM PT/9PM ET. The new season will conclude on November 9th.
