There are a lot of reasons to stay in a Disney World hotel.

Disney’s Riviera Resort
Of course, the hotels’ themes are incredible. When staying at a Disney hotel, you don’t just leave Disney at the parks, it carries over into your hotel in artwork, pool decor, food, and more. You also get access to Early Entry and some hotel guests have access to Extened Evening Hours. But one BIG benefit is free transportation around property.
Today, we’re telling you which Disney hotels can save you time. In Disney World, time is money, so really, we’re saving you money. We can call that “Disney Math“. So here’s how your resort will save time if you are heading to…
Magic Kingdom
The monorail resorts offer a unique form of transportation. These resorts are Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort, Disney’s Polynesian Village, and Disney’s Contemporary Resort. They share a separate monorail line from one at the Transportation and Ticket Center. It provides fast and easy access to Magic Kingdom.

Polynesian Village
The monorail is not the only way to get to Magic Kingdom. The Polynesian, Grand Floridian, and Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness Campground all offer boat access to the front of Magic Kingdom. The boat ride is scenic and can be a great way to get to the park.

Wilderness Lodge
Finally, there are two resorts that have easy walking paths directly to Magic Kingdom. The Contemporary, specifically Bay Lake Tower, and The Grand Floridian both have walking paths with their own security that give you a quick route. Walking is a great option as you won’t have to worry about any transportation delays or break downs.

EPCOT
Speaking of walking, there are 3 Disney resorts that are walkable to EPCOT — Disney’s Beach Club, Disney’s Yacht Club, and Disney’s Boardwalk Inn. If you are staying at one of these resorts, you can take a short walk and enter through the International Gateway. This can save you time and even give you leverage to rope drop Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure.

Yacht Club
If walking isn’t your thing, another great option is staying at Disney’s Riveria Resort to utilize the Skyliner. Unlike the other Skyliner resorts, the Riveria has a straight shot to EPCOT. This is very convenient and also drops you off at the International Gateway.

Hollywood Studios
The other Skyliner resorts are a great way to save time getting to Hollywood Studios. Disney’s Caribbean Beach, Art of Animation, and Pop Century all have the ability to take the Skyliner to Hollywood Studios. While Caribbean Beach has a direct route to studios, the other two will take you from the hotel to the Skyliner Station at Caribbean Beach where you will transfer to another Skyliner vehicle heading to the park.

Caribbean Beach
Animal Kingdom
If you are wanting to save time getting to Animal Kingdom, Animal Kingdom Lodge is your best option. While you do have to take a Disney bus to get to the park, these hotels are closer than any other. Jambo House and Kidani Village are both located just minutes away — not to mention those Savannah views you can get at the hotel.

Disney Springs
There are a few hotels that give you easy access to Disney Springs through a water taxi — Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter and Riverside, Saratoga Springs, and Old Key West.

Old Key West
Saratoga Springs also has a walking path to the West End of Disney Springs. This can give guests a quick way to get to all of the dining, entertainment, and shopping options that Springs offers.
