REVIEW: If You HATE Overly Sweet Disney World Drinks, Try THIS Instead

Listen, Disney’s Animal Kingdom has announced some big changes recently!

Disney recently announced that extended park hours will be coming for select hotel guests for a limited time, and at Destination D23 we learned a TON about the upcoming changes to lands and attractions around the entire park. Amid all this bigger news though, Disney’s Animal Kingdom just dropped a new margarita we just had to try out!

It’s a bit hot out today and we were looking for something to sit down and relax with for a few minutes. Then we happened across the Dawa Bar in Africa and decided to check out what might be new to their menu — and spotted a new drink for Hispanic and Latin American Heritage Month!

That’s when we spotted the Prickly Pear Margarita for $14.50. It’s made of Corazon Tequila, Bols Triple Sec 30 proof liqueur, sour, and desert pear flavor, so we knew we had to try it! It’s also part of the new line of drinks and snacks available from the “Together We Are MAGIA” collection celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month and Latin American culture.

After a few sips of this new drink, we found it to be very refreshing but not overly fruity. We also thought it was quite a large serving for the price and while the tequila in this wasn’t overpowering, you can definitely taste that it’s there. However, when it came to the rest of the flavors, we were a bit bummed to not have a stronger desert pear flavor.

If you’re a margarita lover or anyone looking for a fruity drink that’s not overly sweet we think you’d really enjoy this one. However, if you’re a super sweet fan or someone who prefers to drink something other than a tequila spirit, you’ll probably do better to just admire from afar.
