The Biggest Tip You Need If You Want To Meet Figment in EPCOT

If you have a love for this adorable purple dragon, you might want to know THIS before heading to meet him.

When it was announced over the weekend at Destination D23 that Figment would start meeting guests on September 10th in EPCOT, we knew it would cause some chaos. Figment fans always show up for this adorable character, whether it is for a popcorn bucket or just an Annual Passholder magnet. We did get to meet Figment on the first day of his meet-and-greet and now, we have a BIG tip for you if you are hoping to meet him.

Back to Figment — so the thing is this character is wildly popular among some Disney fans. Yesterday, we saw huge lines to meet Figment. This has become the hottest new meet and greet in Disney World. Folks were gathered around the fountains outside the Imagination Pavilion, patiently hoping to get a chance to see him.

On the opening day of the meet and greet, one of our reporters rushed straight to the pavilion when the park opened and found herself second in line outside of the pavilion. Another reporter heard from a Cast Member that resort guests who had Early Entry had already lined up inside (since they were able to enter the park 30 minutes early). This was around 9AM, right after the park opened.

The second reporter (the one who wasn’t second in line outside the pavilion but instead hopped in line about an hour after park opening) got to meet Figment after 3 hours and 20 minutes of waiting.

Therefore, if you are hoping to see Figment, you’ll want to rope-drop him for the shortest line. This means as soon as you can enter the park, go STRAIGHT there! Once you enter, keep to the right, and head straight for the Imagination Pavilion. Just be prepared to wait — bring snacks and water to fuel your body. It’s all worth it, right?

It’s even better if you’re staying at a Disney World hotel — those extra 30 minutes before the park opens to the rest of the guests will be a big advantage. Make sure to take advantage of Early Entry if you can, or just be sure to get there as early as you possibly can!

Hi Figment!

This tip isn’t just to avoid a long wait, though. Cast Members actually cut off the line around 2:45PM to make sure that everyone waiting in line would be able to meet Figment before he had to leave at 5PM. So if you arrived after 2:45, you couldn’t even wait in line — you were just out of luck. We don’t know yet if they plan to do this every day or if the time will change, but it’s best to plan ahead and realize that it’s a possibility.

To avoid missing your chance to say hello to the friendly purple dragon, you’ll want to prioritize this meet and greet first thing in the morning.
