Marvel’s new show Loki became very popular when it debuted in 2021!
Fans cannot wait for season two to come out (on October 6th!), and even McDonald’s is celebrating the big release! The fast food chain included some specialty Loki-themed meals on their menu as part of their “As featured in” series, but now there’s an even BIGGER collab happening between Loki and the Golden Arches.
That’s right — McDonald’s has been partnering with Loki, and now they’re at it again! Loki is a Marvel spinoff show on Disney+ that features the morally ambiguous brother of Thor. In the past month, McDonald’s has promoted the show with new Sweet ‘N Sour sauce packets with the “Loki” logo on them. The partnership came about because McDonald’s is apparently featured in the next season of the show!
Now, the famous fast-food restaurant has one location that has gone retro for the promotion! According to CNBC, McDonald’s restaurant in Brooklyn has gone back in time with the original 1980s theming from top to bottom of the restaurant so that it’ll appear as it does in Loki season two.
We’re talking decor such as seating that is identical to that of the restaurant in the 80’s.
The restaurant’s retro design is around just for a short period, though. The remodel will only be around from August 30th through September 1st. So if you want to experience what McDonald’s was like in 1982, you’ll have to get to 6620 Bay Parkway in Brooklyn within the next couple of days!
McDonald’s historian Mike Bullington worked with them to ensure that everything in this store is period accurate. He made sure that every aspect of the revamped restaurant was completely accurate, down to the skylight, iron railings, and menu.
If you’re in the Brooklyn area, be sure to check out this new, but old, restaurant! You’ll be welcomed back to 1982!
Remember, this is ONLY sticking around for a couple of days! Those of you visiting this McDonald’s will get a treat most of us will not get to see. We’ll have to see what comes next between the partnership of McDonald’s and Marvel’s Loki!
