Sunday, August 27th is National Cinema Day, and movie theaters across the United States are celebrating. At thousands of participating theaters, you can score $4 movie tickets on Sunday!

This is the second annual National Cinema Day, and the event was designed to “celebrate the power of movies to bring us all together,” according to the Cinema Foundation (Variety).

According to Variety, the event follows an increase in box office sales, as the current summer box office is 16.6% ahead of 2022 but 5.4% below 2019, according to Comscore.

Movies you can expect to see on screen include recent hits like Barbie, Oppenheimer, The Super Mario Bros. Movie, The Little Mermaid Sing-Along, and even re-releases like Jurassic Park.
