This Is NOT the ‘High School Musical’ News You Really Want…But It’s Pretty Close.

Hey Wildcats! We have some exciting details from High School Musical: The Musical: The Series.

Starting on August 9th, the hit show will be back for season four on Disney+. While many of us are cheering for a High School Musical 4 to soar onto our screens, we might have a shining glimmer of hope. The boys (and girls) are back to visit the students at East High.

Before we get your hopes up TOO much, we have to clarify that there’s no official announcement about a High School Musical 4 movie. We’ll just have to keep our fingers crossed for that to happen. But what IS happening is that some of the cast of the original High School Musical movies is going to guest star in the last season of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, where they’ll give a MAJOR update on what could happen in a fourth movie!

According to Cosmopolitan, “Corbin Bleu and some friends head over to East High to film ‘High School Musical 4’ and also offer the current Wildcats an opportunity to be a part of the fun as extras.” Monique Coleman and Lucas Grabeel show up to explain what the plot of the fourth movie would look like: “It is our 15-year high school reunion. My character Chad is married to Taylor. Martha is a world-class choreographer. Troy and Gabriella are in couples therapy. Ryan is happily partnered with twins on the way. And the future of the East High Drama department is on the line.”

Other High School Musical icons will be showing up in the final season, including Kaycee Stroh, Alyson Reed, and Bart Johnson.
