EPCOT's Japan Pavilion Is CHANGING – See the NEW Addition!

Things are always changing in Disney World, especially in EPCOT.

The park is undergoing a HUGE transformation, which has already brought us a new restaurant AND RIDE and will be bringing a new Moana-themed attraction soon. But World Showcase is also getting some love with a new restaurant coming to the Japan Pavilion. Ahead of that restaurant’s opening, though, the Japan Pavilion just recently got a bit of a makeover.

If you’re planning a trip to EPCOT and are looking for some fun places to explore, we highly recommend checking out the Japan Pavilion. It’s got an awesome store, plenty of good food, and some stunning architecture. Oh, and we’re so excited that the NEW restaurant is on the way. Lately, this spot is full of recent changes and updates!

Over near Teppan Edo, we saw some new artwork on the walls, and we’ll just tell you now, it’s BEAUTIFUL. One of the murals shows a scene amongst some cherry blossom trees where animals are going about their daily lives. We could stare at these panels all day; they’re so blissful and serene.

We especially love this detail of a fox practicing his Japanese writing with pen and ink while another older fox seems to be going over his work.

Another mural shows a waterfront with boats on the water while fireworks are going off in the background. A pair of rabbits are hanging out on the bridge.

Meanwhile, a trio of frogs are dancing. We wonder what they’re celebrating. They look so happy!

If you happen to visit the Japan pavilion anytime soon, we recommend taking a moment to admire this new artwork. It’s certainly beautiful and sets the scene for the entire pavilion. Sometimes you just have to stop for a while and admire the details, right? That’s especially true in Disney World, where little details like this are EVERYWHERE.
