It’s officially that time of the year. We’re entering the hottest months at Disney World.
Not only is it unbearably hot with an incredibly high UV index, it’s also muggy and humid — which makes it feel even hotter. We see several Disney World visitors lugging portable fans into the parks, only to drop them on rides or for their batteries to die or for them to lose charge. Frankly, we often find them to be a waste of money. We have a solution that will allow you to stay cool all day long without any batteries, charging, or pixie dust necessary.
Today, we are here to once again proclaim our love for cooling towels! They’re inexpensive, they fit in your bag and are lightweight, and they’re reusable. The best part? They WORK. They do an excellent job of keeping us cool all day in the parks, and as soon as they’re not keeping us cool anymore, we just re-wet them. Good as new.
We like to stop at quick service dining locations in the park and grab some free ice water to dunk the towels in. This helps ensure that they’re extra cold, instead of using the room-temperature water in the bathrooms or from the fountains.
When it comes to choosing a cooling towel, you really can’t go wrong. The ones you can grab from merchandise locations in the parks and hotels work just fine, but they’re not always in stock. We recommend stocking up beforehand so that each person in your group has a towel to keep them cool throughout the trip. Here are a couple of our favorites!
Grab the Sukeen 4-Pack Cooling Towels for 33% Off
This pack of cooling towels comes with four different ones — all a different color so that each person in your group has their own towel and can easily remember which one is their’s.
Grab a 6-Pack of the Sukeen Cooling Towels for 15% Off
If four towels isn’t enough, you can grab a pack of 6 or more! This is the same brand but with more towels and color options.
If you do plan on using a cooling towel, just make sure to wring out the water and swing the towel around before each use. This allows the towel to do its job without soaking you with water. Oh, and try to let it dry out as much as you can without rewetting it — and definitely don’t store it while wet. This will ensure that it doesn’t get a bad mildew smell.
We’ll continue to keep you updated with any and all Disney news, tips, and updates, so make sure to follow along for more!
