There has been no shortage of new food in Disney World lately.
July brought with it a huge list of seasonal snacks in Disney Springs, Fourth of July treats have hit the parks, and we even spotted a new 100th anniversary treat in EPCOT! With all of these new food updates, you might think that a little change to an ice cream sundae would go under the radar — but think again! This upgrade is Mickey-shaped so we HAD to check it out!
In Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you can find some tasty hand-dipped ice cream at Hollywood Scoops. Recently, they added a new sundae to the menu, and it is cute! Ok, they did have a brownie sundae before, but this version is decked out in MICKEYs! The Mickey Brownie Sundae is a House-made Mickey-shaped Brownie and Old-fashioned Vanilla Ice Cream with Hot Fudge and Whipped Cream. We picked it up this week for $7.79.
First things first, let’s talk about the ice cream. If you love hand-dipped ice cream, Holywood Scoops is a great option, and the ice cream in this sundae was no exception. It was an old-fashioned vanilla that had a ton of flavor from the vanilla beans, and it was so creamy!
The whipped cream and hot fudge on top made this incredibly decadent and satisfying, but because of the cold ice cream, it was a perfect snack for the intense Florida heat.
Ok, let’s talk about the brownie. I mean, obviously, it’s adorable — but it was also tasty! It was a little more soft and cakey than fudgy, but it had square chocolate pieces throughout that made it gooey and delicious.
But, that’s not the only Mickey in this dessert — even the sprinkles are Mickey-shaped. So, if you’re looking for a treat to celebrate the little mouse, this is the way to do it!
Our only complaint was that it melts fast, but we can’t really blame them for the Florida sun. Also, this dessert can feel a little heavy — so keep that in mind if you’re walking around in the heat and planning on hopping on a ride afterward.
