Disney Reveals BIG Change for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party Parade

It’s never too early to start making plans for the winter holidays…right?

It’s such a beautiful time of year!

That is especially true when it comes to planning a Disney World trip! Disney has already released hotel deals for the holidays (including ON Christmas Day) and a new holiday event has been announced for Disney’s Hollywood Studios. We’ve also been learning a LOT about what is coming to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party in 2023 and we now have another big update!

Over on the Disney Auditions website, we noticed an interested listing. We were intrigued by what the “Student Musicians” would be used for in Disney World, so we did some more investigating…

…where we saw that the audition is for the Toy Soldiers in Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade! This is the first time we’ve seen the Toy Soldiers playing instruments in the parade since 2019, so this is an exciting addition to this year’s party!

Due to COVID-19, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party was canceled in 2020 and in 2021, Disney introduced a new event called Disney Very Merriest After Hours. However, Mickey’s special event returned in 2022 with the parade, but the Toy Soldiers were not playing instruments.

Tickets go on sale for Disney World hotel guests on June 29th (as long as you have a reservation on the night of the party you want to attend) and open to everyone on July 6th. Disney has already released the dates and pricing, so you can take a look at that before buying tickets.
