It’s a good thing that those tins of Christmas cookies have a weirdly long shelf life (what’s up with that, by the way?), because it turns out that a little extra holiday cheer found its way to the month of June!

Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade

We’ve seen a flurry of holiday news lately in the Disney parks, including a look at the special treats and merchandise coming soon, but hidden within those festive announcements was ANOTHER piece of information.

Recently, Disney shared a peek at some new holiday merchandise coming to the parks this year.

We saw some Crocs, Spirit Jerseys, and other festive apparel, but there was one thing in particular that caught our eye.

As we were busy learning all about the newest holiday merchandise to hit the shelves this year, we had to pause and do a double-take. Disney stated, “If you’ve ever been to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party in Walt Disney World Resort (which by the way, is a holiday must-do), you might recall filling up on one of the best holiday treats: cookies!”

Umm…did Disney just give us a hint that Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is returning this year? They mentioned the holiday event by name! In fact, they recommended the holiday event specifically. Interesting…

Meanwhile, the Disney World website still has not been updated with any official word on the status of the party. In fact, the website currently says, “Please check back at a later date for information regarding events in 2023.”

SANTA at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party

If you’re unfamiliar, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is a nighttime event that typically takes place in the Magic Kingdom between November and December. Throughout the party, guests can enjoy exclusive treats, watch the famous Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, meet Santa, and more!

Can’t forget the dancing reindeer!

For now, we’ll have to wait for more information, but you might want to start thinking about your holiday plans this winter — Disney itself has said that Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is a holiday must-do.
