We have no problem admitting that some things in Disney World make us cry — and we have a feeling y’all totally understand that.

What makes you cry in Disney World?

Seeing Cinderella Castle for the first time during a Disney World trip? Yep, there are TEARS. Riding our favorite ride (even if it’s for the thousandth time)? Yep, we’re going to have a good bawl. Meeting Mickey? Okay, that might be at the top of our list of things that get us emotional. But today, saying goodbye to a snack — yes, A SNACK — made us emotional.

If you’ve been following along, we’ve been heavily invested in the saga of a Disney World snack. We’re talking about Wendell’s Bear Claw, which debuted during Disney World’s 50th Anniversary Celebration at Westward Ho in Magic Kingdom. However, this delicious treat stuck around a little longer — and then it was gone.

Wendell’s Bear Claw

Wendell’s Bear Claw is a traditional bear claw pastry dipped in and filled with chocolate and sprinkled with hazelnuts — a simple but DELICIOUS treat. Once we thought it was gone, we mourned its loss because it was a fave. But then, IT CAME BACK.

It’s back!!!

However, when it returned, a Cast Member informed us that they only had five batches left to make. That means once it’s gone again, it’s gone for good. So we’ve been checking at Westward Ho EVERY DAY.

We love you, Wendell’s Bear Claw

Today, though, we arrived at the snack stand and were informed that there was ONE LEFT and hello, YOU KNOW WE BOUGHT IT. Then we decided to go see the character it was named after, Wendell from the Country Bear Jamboree. We handed the LAST Wendell’s Bear Claw (ever!) to Wendell because if anyone deserves the very last one, it’s him.

It’s like he’s saying, “WHY?!?!”

WE’RE NOT CRYING; YOU’RE CRYING. We know, Wendell, we know…

Dear Disney, please reconsider your decision to take this snack away from us. LOOK AT POOR WENDELL; he deserves better.
