Have you ever wanted to eat like your favorite Marvel superheroes?

At Disney, we’ve seen a lot of merchandise that’s themed to different characters in the MCU. But now it’s time to talk about a special meal from HelloFresh that will have you rocking with the Guardians of the Galaxy!

If you’re looking to eat like the Guardians of the Galaxy, HelloFresh has you covered with its special offerings! Marvel.com actually discussed these meals a bit back in early April, but we got the chance to try one on our own and wanted to share our experience with you!

The recipe we tried is the Cripsy Orloni-Style Tilapia Tacos.

First off, we have to say that it’s very convenient that the HelloFresh meals come pre-portioned with all the ingredients you need and instructions that also have pictures. Yay!

Here’s a look at the ingredients.

And here are the step-by-step instructions with photos and details.

First up, it was time to prepare the mayo. To do this, you’ll zest and quarter a lime, thinly slice the jalapeno into rounds, and thinly slice the radishes.

Then you’ll combine the smoky red pepper crema, mayo, some lime zest, and chipotle powder. Then you’ll add water (a little bit at a time) until you reach a drizzling consistency. After, season with salt and pepper.

Next, you’ll move on to the pickles and slaw by combining the jalapeno, radishes, lime juice, sugar, and some salt. Then it’s time to microwave it.

Then, you’ll want to combine the cabbage, juice from the remaining lime, sugar, and a few other ingredients.

Ready to coat the fish? Let’s do it! You’ll mix the tempura batter, half of the blackening space, and some other ingredients until it’s all smooth.

Then, pat the tilapia dry…

…and slice it into strips. Season them with the blackening spice, salt, and pepper, and then stir the strips into the batter.

Once that was done, we got right into it and fried ‘em up.

You’ll do this in a pan with some oil, working in batches.

And once that was done, all we had left was to warm up the tortillas, plate it all up, and dig in! That was a more generalized version of the recipe but for FULL details see the pictures above.

We think they turned out pretty good-looking! Now onto the flavors we experienced on this cosmic journey.

We felt that the flavors and textures were pretty balanced. The breading on the tilapia was savory and flavorful thanks to that blackening seasoning. The only thing that was difficult was the actual cooking of the tilapia because the breading didn’t want to stay on the tilapia, so just be prepared for that!

The good thing is that once you put the fish in the taco, it didn’t really matter and you could just take a big bite and enjoy it all together!

The radishes added a nice crunch to the taco and the slaw gave it a great touch of sweetness to balance the savory flavors. The jalapenos weren’t too overpowering (thankfully!), but if you don’t like spicy food, you could probably skip them.

We also opted to not add a ton of chili powder to our meal, but we easily could have added more to make it have a stronger KICK.

Overall, it was a fairly simple cooking process taking only about 30 minutes. Plus, our recipe came with a special little BONUS, which was fun!

We really wish we could order it again! This was a limited-edition offering though (along with the other Guardians Recipe Adventures which included a Terran-Style BBQ Sandwich recipe and more).
