3 Disney Rides Are Temporarily Closing SOON

When there’s no off-season at the Disney Parks, routine maintenance and upkeep must be scheduled to keep everything running smoothly and looking shiny and new for years to come.

We’ve seen several closures take place at Disney World recently, from Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster refurbishments to the reimagining of Splash Mountain into Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. Disney World isn’t the only park undergoing quite a bit of change at the moment — LOTS of rides will soon be under refurbishment at Disneyland in California. Let’s check out all the upcoming closures!

UPDATE: As of June 5th, Peter Pan’s Flight, Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride, and Alice in Wonderland have all closed for refurbishment in Disneyland.

Of course, we already knew that Splash Mountain would be closing for refurbishment to join the Disney World attraction in becoming Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. That attraction will close on May 30th and reopen in 2024. The Matterhorn Bobsleds will also be closed until June 2nd. What we didn’t know previously was that THREE other Disneyland attractions will also temporarily close this summer.

Peter Pan’s Flight, Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride, and Alice in Wonderland are all joining Splash Mountain and Tarzan’s Treehouse (which has been under construction for a long time) in refurbishment closures starting on June 5th.

That is a LOT of attractions to be undergoing refurbishment at once!

Will you miss any of these during your next trip?

Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride and Alice in Wonderland will reopen on June 16th, and Peter Pan’s Flight is reopening on June 29th according to the Disneyland website.
